2. How We Use Your Data
We use your information to:
- Provide the service: Display your properties, tenants, and finances
- Fetch rent estimates: Send property addresses to RentCast API
- AI categorization: Process expenses with AI (data not stored by AI provider)
- Send notifications: Lease reminders, payment alerts (if enabled)
- Improve LandlordAI: Aggregated, anonymized usage patterns
3. Third-Party Services
We integrate with trusted third parties:

- Railway: Cloud hosting with encryption at rest
4. Data Security
We take security seriously:
- Encryption: All data encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest
- Password hashing: BCrypt with salt, industry standard
- Access controls: Your data is only accessible to you
- Regular backups: Your data is backed up securely
- No plain text storage: Sensitive data is never stored in plain text
5. Data Retention & Deletion

- Account data: Retained while your account is active
- Export anytime: Download all your data in CSV/JSON format
- Delete anytime: Request complete account deletion via email
- 30-day grace period: Deleted accounts can be recovered within 30 days
- Permanent deletion: After 30 days, all data is permanently removed
6. What We Don't Do
We will NEVER:
- Sell your data: Your information is not for sale, ever
- Share with advertisers: No ads, no tracking pixels
- Contact your tenants: We only email you, not your tenants
- Use for training AI: Your data is not used to train models
- Access without permission: Only you access your data

Minimal tracking for essential functions:
- Authentication: Session cookies for login (required)
- Preferences: Remember your settings
- Basic analytics: Page views, feature usage (anonymized)
- No third-party trackers: No Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.
